The Lincoln Christian School parent is the critical force of our school. As God's appointed stewards of His children, parents are to educate their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
"The Christian School can be a powerful strategy for parents seeking partners in raising Christ-honoring children." (David K. Wilcox, PhD, ACSI publication 'It Takes and Extended Family')

The Biblical Importance of Christian Education
Parents who believe in Jesus Christ, the living Word, must live according to the Bible, God's written Word. The Old and New Testaments instruct parents how God desires His children to be educated.
Deuteronomy (chapters) 4, 6, & 11 These chapters give parents God's priority and process for education, and the positive outcome when education is accomplished God's way.
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.
Matthew 12:30 Neutral ground does not exist in education. Since all truth is God's Truth, God must be acknowledged as the Creator, our Sustainer, and our Judge.
Matthew 22:37 To fulfill the greatest commandment "to love the Lord your God" requires comprehension of The Christ who "is the image of the invisible God."
John 17:17 and 2 Corinthians 10:5 Every thought (piece of information) must be subject to Biblical truth.
Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, as head of the home, are ultimately held responsible for the training and instruction of their children.
About Parents at Lincoln Christian School
Lincoln Christian School is a parent-owned school. Since 1951 parents have provided the energy, direction, and resources for Christian education at Lincoln Christian. As a parent-owned school each parent who has a student enrolled at this school legally owns, and is responsible for, Lincoln Christian. The elected Lincoln Christian School Board acts as the parent's legal agent in providing counsel and direction to and control over the school. Likewise the Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF) provides many opportunities for parents to volunteer and make a difference in the classroom and school campus-wide. |
