Vocal Music
Choir
Choir is one of the most popular electives at Lincoln Christian. Currently, over a third of our students are involved in choir. Choir has received numerous Superior ratings and the school is currently expanding the music facilities to accommodate the many vocal gifts that God has blessed us with at Lincoln Christian.
Image
Image is the varsity select vocal group at Lincoln Christian. The group is made up of 10 boys and 10 girls. Image has won numerous awards, but more importantly brings the gospel message of Christ through music wherever they perform.
Remix/Wired
Remix is the junior varsity select vocal group at Lincoln Christian. Remix is all girls and Wired is all boys.
Instrumental Music
Marching / Concert Band
Lincoln Christian marched in the 25th Annual Star City Parade in December 2009. The marching band will be returning in full force with new uniforms in the fall of 2012. Construction for a new instrumental music room is underway and will be completed in the spring of 2012.
Jazz Band
Lincoln Christian has one of the finest high school jazz bands in the state of Nebraska. Musicians perform at the Christmas and Spring Concerts as well as at numerous football, volleyball, and basketball games during the year.
Orchestra
Lincoln Christian is the only Class “C” school in Nebraska to offer a full orchestra. The orchestra performs at the Fall, Christmas and Spring music Concerts as well as many conference, district and state music competitions. We are thankful for our orchestra music program and students.
Strings
Lincoln Christian students can begin playing a string instrument at school in the 5th grade and continue to have instructors and a strings class throughout high school. Many of our string students have received music scholarships at many great music programs including Wheaton College, Moody Bible Institute and University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Drama
Lincoln Christian Drama puts on three plays during the school year. These include a Fall Play in October, a Dinner Theatre in January, and a Spring Play or Musical in April. Drama also competes in conference, district, and state competitions during the school year.
Art
Lincoln Christian has an outstanding Preschool through 12th grade art program and has received numerous awards from the Nebraska State Visual Arts Competition in Water Color and Ink, Scratchboard, Pencil, and Acrylic Painting pieces. We are so thankful for the Lincoln Christian artists and teachers who are inspired by the Master Creator and strive for art that glorifies God.
