Chapel Worship Team is an integral part of Lincoln Christian. Every Friday during the school year, the Chapel Worship Team leads all the students in grades 7-12 in music worship. These 10-12 students are given an opportunity to share their gifts to glorify the Lord and encourage their fellow students each week.

Elementary Chapel occurs every Wednesday during the school year. Many Pastors and teachers are invited to come teach the elementary students. This year’s theme is Galatians 6:14 which says, "May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ."

National Honor Society (NHS) is composed of Junior and Senior high students that have a 3.6 or higher grade point average. Lincoln Christian National Honor Society requires a service component of all members and past projects include City Impact’s Gifts of Love, a Diaper Drive for the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center and a Food Drive for the People’s City Mission.

One year a week is called Spiritual Emphasis Week. This week is used to intentionally focus on God’s Word and your walk. In August, Axis from Denver, Colorado came and challenged our students to be living the gospel every day.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at Lincoln Christian has a strong huddle. We believe in “Doing Sports God’s Way” and being a testimony for Christ in all activities and sports. There are currently over 30+ students actively involved in the Lincoln Christian Huddle.

Lincoln Christian students are strongly encouraged to “stretch their faith” through missions trips. Lincoln Christian has sent numerous students to serve others in Mexico, Nepal, China, South Korea, Haiti, New Orleans and Kansas City.

Students also have the opportunity to attend Summit Ministries in Denver, Colorado and the Worldview Christian Leadership Academies in Colorado, Missouri and Oklahoma. Praise God for these opportunities to spread the gospel and serve others!

Student Leadership is provided by five members from every high school class. Each class elects a president, vice-president, secretary/treasurer, boys’ representative and girls’ representative. Key events organized annually include Homecoming, Winter Dinner, and Sadie Hawkins. They also serve the greater community by participating in Gifts of Love.

Students have the opportunity to write and produce the school newspaper, published 8 times a year, and also our yearbook, called The Lance.

Lincoln Christian students conduct three different performances each school year. In the fall they host a play, in January they have their annual dinner theatre, and in spring they host a show that many times is a musical. Many Lincoln Christian students are members of the ITS.

Eleven LCS students, one sponsor and two parents flew from Nebraska to Washington D.C. for a 5 day tour in March 2011. Highlights of the trip included a day at Gettysburg, PA. The history group visited the Capitol and the National Archives; where they saw the original Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and the Emancipation Proclamation. Other memorials visited included Lincoln, Jefferson, Korean War, Vietnam War, WWII, and Iwo Jima. Finally, the students and parents attended the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
