From the Principal -Mark Wilson
Welcome to Lincoln Christian Secondary School's website. Our philosophy can be summarized by the following: "Christian parents really face one of two choices: either educate their children with Christ or educate them against Him." (Excused Absence, Douglas Wilson). We have chosen to give parents an opportunity to educate their children with God's Truth entwined with our rigorous academics and co-curricular activities.
7th and 8th grades make up the junior high, while the high school consists of grades 9-12. Grade sizes range from 38 to 56, with an average class size of 16 students. The student to teacher ratio is 12 to 1.
Lincoln Christian School is unique because all subjects are taught from the viewpoint of God's Word and are Christ-centered. Programs or classes pertaining specifically to spiritual issues include: daily Bible class, chapel and discipleship weekly, spiritual emphasis week and spiritual emphasis days throughout the year.
In order to strengthen our curriculum in the area of business, LCS launched a course in 2008 called Business & Leadership 101. This class begins the process of strengthening our curriculum in a creative way through the offering of a single upper class symposium offered to our juniors and seniors focusing on business and leadership.
Strong academic offerings prepare students for college and to function in society. ACT standardized test results show that Lincoln Christian students consistently score higher than local, state, and national student norms.
Activities provide a lab setting for living out the Truth. Participants are challenged to contribute in a way that honors God much like Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 11:1, "Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ."

Friday Debate Form

After reading "The Ransom of Red Chief" by O. Henry, Reading 8 held a trial in which the two kidnappers, Bill and Sam, sued the kid that they kidnapped, Johnny, for assault and extortion. On the day of the trial, several of the students showed up in character., even though that was not one of the requirements. One student on the defense team even came in a suit and tie and had business cards to pass out. They really got into the trial mindset and enjoyed the opportunity to do an activity that got everyone involved.
Actvitiy Passes are required for all junior/senior high students involved in any activity. Includes admissions to home athletic events, excluding conference/district events and drama. Please contact the HS Office for purchase of Activity Passes.
