KINDERGARTEN ROUNDUP
MARCH 2nd, 2010 at 10am or 7 pm
Welcome to the Lincoln Christian Kindergarten!
Kindergarteners eagerly await the beginning of the school year and so do we! What an awesome privilege to be the first teacher the children, and some parents, encounter at Lincoln Christian School. We are always excited to start Bible learning of our wonderful Creator and His creation, and to share the Gospel. Our goal with your students is to find out where they are spiritually and to help them grow in Christ. We realize what a privilege we have and try to live out the Gospel in our actions as well as our words.
Many come to school learning to write their name "the kindergarten way" and are reading by the end of the year. We learn letter sounds and blends, words, counting and writing to one hundred, and we count pennies, nickels, and dimes in our dramatic play area. Kindergarteners also get to participate in physical education, music, and library classes. What an exciting year to make new friends, sing songs, hear stories, paint, and create.
Some of the highlights of the year are a Thanksgiving feast, birthday party for Jesus, building in Joseph's Carpenter Shop (as we learn about Jesus as a child), Mother's Tea, and Kindergarten Graduation.
Kindergarten is in session all day on Mondays and Wednesdays and Fridays and NEW in FALL OF 2009 we will be offering a five day program as well, with sessions all day Monday - Friday.
Contact Jill Baker, Admissions Coordinator today to arrange a tour of our campus at 488-8888 x 228.

Reading/Phonics
The A Beka Curriculum is an intense phonics program that provides students with tools to use to be successful readers. From recognition of letters and sounds to blends and learning one and two vowel word rules, the children start to read. Songs and puppets help the children learn these important phonics rules. This curriculum provides books that the children take home to practice their reading skills. |
